We have built a
complicated world.
We have divided ourselves by nations, religions, politics, borders, wealth, status, history and belief.
Some of those differences matter. Some are part of who we are.
But none of them should make us forget what we are.
HUMAN.
Before the flag, there is a person.
Before the religion, there is a person.
Before the ideology, there is a person.
Before the argument, there is a person.

PEACE
Peace is more than the absence of war. It begins much earlier. In the words we choose. In the way we treat someone who disagrees with us.
In our refusal to turn another human being into an enemy simply because we were told they are one.
Peace does not require passivity. It requires courage without hatred.

LOVE
Love is not weakness. It is the ability to see value beyond ourselves. To care when there is nothing to gain.
Love does not mean accepting everything.
It means refusing to lose our humanity while confronting what is wrong.

UNITY
Unity does not mean becoming the same. We do not need one culture. One religion. One opinion. One way of living.
We can stand beside one another without becoming one another.

RESPECT
Respect begins where certainty ends. It is the recognition that another human life has value even when another human mind sees the world differently.
Respect does not require agreement. It requires dignity.
FOUR WORDS
STILL ENOUGH
They will not solve every conflict. They will not erase history. They will not remove greed, fear, power or injustice from the world.
Four words cannot do that.
But people can.
How would I act if peace mattered?
How would I act if love mattered?
How would I act if unity mattered?
How would I act if respect mattered?
HERE. NOW.
This is why
DAMMA exists.
DAMMA is not the message.
The books are not the message.
The music is not the message.
The art is not the message.
They are ways of carrying it.
Different forms.
The same four words.
