Human Fictions are short stories built around one impossible premise and one question that remains possible.
They are not attempts to explain reality. They are ways of moving one assumption far enough to see what it was holding in place.
The story ends. The question does not have to.
Sometimes fiction is the safest place to ask a question reality does not know how to answer.
