Fourteen days.

Consumers generally have the right to withdraw from a distance contract within fourteen days without giving any reason.

For digital content that is not supplied on a physical medium, the withdrawal period generally begins on the day the contract is concluded.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient to send the withdrawal declaration before the fourteen-day period has expired.

A clear statement is enough.

To exercise a withdrawal right that still exists, you must inform DAMMA.ONLINE of your decision to withdraw from the relevant contract by means of a clear statement.

When the right may end early.

Paid digital content supplied without a physical medium is subject to special rules. A withdrawal right may expire before the end of the fourteen-day period only if the statutory requirements for early expiry have been met.

For paid digital content, this includes in particular:

• DAMMA.ONLINE has begun performance of the contract;
• before performance begins, the consumer has expressly agreed that performance may begin before the end of the withdrawal period;
• the consumer has confirmed knowledge that, by giving that consent, the right of withdrawal is lost when performance begins; and
• the required contractual confirmation has been provided to the consumer.

Merely accepting the Terms & Conditions does not, by itself, replace any separate express consent and acknowledgement required by law.

Digital content cannot be physically returned in the same way as a physical product. This page therefore concerns the statutory right to withdraw from the contract, rather than the physical return of an e-book or download.

If the statutory requirements for early expiry have been satisfied and performance has begun, the withdrawal right may already have expired.

Withdraw online.

Where your statutory withdrawal right is still running, you may use the electronic withdrawal function provided by DAMMA.ONLINE.

The function asks for the information needed to identify you and the relevant contract, together with an electronic contact method for confirmation of receipt.

The electronic withdrawal function is an additional way to exercise a withdrawal right. It does not prevent you from sending another clear withdrawal statement, for example by email.

What happens after a valid withdrawal.

If you validly withdraw from a contract while the withdrawal right still exists, payments received in connection with the withdrawn contract are returned in accordance with the applicable statutory rules.

Reimbursement must generally be made without undue delay and no later than fourteen days after DAMMA.ONLINE receives the withdrawal declaration.

Unless expressly agreed otherwise, reimbursement is made using the same payment method used for the original transaction and without charging a fee for the reimbursement.

Whether a withdrawal right still exists in relation to digital content depends in particular on whether the statutory requirements for its early expiry have already been fulfilled.

For a DAMMA digital purchase, identify the relevant title and, where available, your order number as clearly as possible.
