Excerpt 1: Autopsy Report of a Biological Miscalculation
Dear intelligent being from the future, if you exist:
Congratulations. If you are reading this, you are either a species that did better than we did, or a bored archaeologist wondering how a civilization could fail so spectacularly at itself.
Let me not keep you in suspense.
Humanity was a flawed prototype.
A cosmic accident.
A life form intelligent enough to split atoms, but not wise enough to stop throwing those atoms at cities.
We were evolution’s attempt to create a thinking organism that destroys itself by reflex.
Humans considered themselves the smartest beings on this planet. How adorable.
They built machines to think for them and called it progress.
They developed weapons capable of wiping out their entire species and called it security.
They gave corrupt, incompetent leaders power and called it democracy.
They created a world in which a few own everything and the rest fight to survive.
They believed in a future they were actively destroying.
Foolish enough to believe they are smart.
Excerpt 2: How to Systematically Drive a Species into the Abyss
Ingredient 1: Create an enemy that does not exist.
The easiest way to destroy a society is to make it fight itself.
Humans need conflict. If there is no enemy, one will be created.
First it was tribes. Then religions. Then ideologies.
In the end, it became all of it at once. Skin color. Gender. Opinion. Identity.
Give them someone to blame.
Make sure they hate each other.
Make sure they fight with conviction.
Then lean back and watch them destroy themselves.
Ingredient 2: Make stupidity the highest priority.
Every failed civilization has one thing in common. The wrong people rise to power.
Make sure intelligence is not rewarded.
Make education expensive or meaningless.
Present science as opinion.
Replace facts with feelings.
Make fame more important than competence.
And most importantly: distract them.
If they care more about scandals than about their future, you have won.
If they share memes instead of questioning decisions, you have won.
If they form opinions without understanding anything, you have completely won.
A society that rejects intelligence will always be ruled by clowns.
And the worst part?
These clowns are elected.
Excerpt 3: The Science of Manipulation
Step 2: Repeat a lie often enough and it becomes the truth.
Humans believe they are rational. They believe they think.
They do not.
Tell them something once and they question it.
Tell them ten times and they hesitate.
Tell them a hundred times and they begin to believe it.
Tell them a thousand times and they will defend it.
That is how manipulation works.
Not through logic.
Through repetition.
“The others are the problem.”
“We are doing this for your safety.”
“Everything is under control.”
It does not matter whether it is true.
The only thing that matters is how often it is repeated.
Humans do not think.
They only remember what they hear most often.
This book will change nothing.
Because humans do not change.
